Malls packed? No parking? Tempers and nerves flaring? Stressed for a last minute gift? Consider a Spiritual Bouquet. A spiritual bouquet is an offering of prayers, sacrifices, and devotional acts by one person on behalf of another. It follows a format similar to this:
I said a prayer for you today
and I know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart
although he spoke no words.
I prayed that He'd be near you at the start of each day,
to grant you health and blessings
and friends to share your way.
I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small,
but it was for his loving care I prayed for most of all.
On your behalf, I will offer up (fill in the blank with what you plan to do),
______ Rosaries
______ Holy hours
______ Days of fasting
______ Days of abstaining from meat, candy, conveniences, etc.
______ Acts of charity
Christmas blessings to all of you!
Thank You .
That is the perfect gift for all for Christmas. Perfect size and can only be returned with more love.
My Dad who passed away on Nov. 26 would have loved this.
Christmas Blessings to you and yours.
May God Bless you all.
Please accept my sincerest sympathies! Over this past week, I have been asked by 3 freepers to pray for relatives who are on their deathbeds. This morning I stopped in the cafeteria at work. The woman working the cash register was quite distressed. Her niece is near death - only 28, with 2 young children. This poor woman looked at me with tears in her eyes and said: "She understands the situation and she's frightened and scared." I assured her of my prayers for her and her niece.
If your father would have appreciated a Spiritual Bouquet, consider giving one to your pastor in your dad's name. I made one up today for my pastor, to accompany a special book I purchased for him. Priests need prayers! These are always a perfect fit for them.
