Need a church while travelling for Christmas?

Are you travelling for Christmas to be with relatives and loved ones?

Do you feel uncomfortable that the old church in which you were raised has become apostate or heretical?

Do your relatives or loved ones relatively attend church at all?

Do you need a good church for Christmas while travelling?

In our case, we will be in Northern Westchester/Southern Putnam County, NY for Christmas. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good theologically orthodox liturgical service in the area? Anglican, Catholic or Eastern Orthodox would all be fine.

Well we've learned from some christian people that its just better (and easier) to spend time with family of Christmas Sunday rather than go to church. LOL!

Well, as long as they don't cancel Sunday services on Easter.

If the chocolate bunnies overwhelm us, I'll be disappointed.

I know of three great Presbyterian churches in the Phoenix and SanDiego area.

These are very conservative, Reformed Presbyterian Churches. Small congregations and fantastic preaching.

If anyone is going to visit these areas let me know and I'll hook you up. Two of them are at about 9:00 am and one meets at 1:00 pm.

Peebles United Methodist Church will hold services on Sunday, Christmas Day at 10:30 AM.

Location: Southern Ohio, one hour east of Cincinnati; Take St Rt 32 to St Rt 41; travel north on 41 to Vine Street. Left one block to High Street. Church at 60 Vine St.

Glastonbury Community Church (E. Free), located in Glastonbury, Connecticut will hold Christmas Eve service at 7:00 P.M. and Christmas Sunday worship at 10:30 A.M.. After both services this "greeter" will be serving a special Christmas blend of coffee during the fellowship hour.

I agree about the Columbian. Folgers (P&G) ran a great PR campaign, though.

I've been pleased, though, with the El Salvador & Guatemalan's that I've bought.

The island coffees are good, but Sumatra P'd me O when we were blasted by them during helping after the tsunami.

I think they're second place to the Africans. (I think the Hawaiian Kona is OK (weak), but certainly NOT worth the price.)

I haven't tried Jamacian Blue Mountain yet...my intentions were good, but I have yet to get there.

WE do not buy preground anything at my house, but I haven't gone as far to do roasting like other people I know...

I don't actually buy the Blue Mountain stuff of dreams, way out of our budget...sigh. But my brothers wife usually buys him a pound of beans, and I agree, whole beans are the way to go, for Christmas, which if I'm not mistaken is mere days away. I will get my annual fix at the family gathering in three short days!
