Hitting the Bricks II [Irondequoit Episcopal]
Midwest Conservative Journal ^ | 12/17/2005 | Christopher Johnson

All Saints Episcopal Church of the Diocese of Rochester has a message for Bishop Jack McKelvey.  Back at ya:

An Episcopal church in Irondequoit that split from the Rochester Diocese[actually, it was kicked out but to-may-to, to-mah-to] is apparently now aligning itself with the Church of Uganda.

All Saints Episcopal Church withheld money from its diocese to protest the ordination of gay priests.

According to a Rochester Diocesan spokesperson, the Church of Uganda is separate from the Episcopal Church but does have roots in the Church of England.

Yes, it happens from time to time. There are a sequence of operations I go through to post a new thread, involving flipping back and forth between browser tabs and other applications and the final operation, the ping post, does get missed sometimes.

Traditional Anglican ping, continued in memory of its founder Arlin Adams.

FReepmail sionnsar if you want on or off this moderately high-volume ping list (typically 3-9 pings/day).
This list is pinged by sionnsar, Huber and newheart.

Your welcome. I did some minor sniping on that thread to a newbie who apparently didn't understand the issues, so I dug around until I found it.

I'd better bail for the night. I have to be at church for the 8:00 service in the morning, and you have a couple of time zone advantages on me.

Heh. I was out before you. But you're probably back, and I'm sitting here with the coffee made, and about to start the day. We have the Greening of the Church today (decorating for Christmas), so it will be a long day.

We are more in the southern tradition. Decorations go up by the first Sunday of Advent, and come down right after New Years. Decorations are really light this year at the church, however, since we are undergoing major renovations, and there just isn't enough space in the rooms available.
