Have you ever read poll results and wished they'd put the question differently? Or offered different answers? Or asked an entirely different question? Well, now you can do something about it.
Newswise Future Brief, a free Internet publication designed to keep the public abreast of trends in society, science, and security, is offering the public the opportunity to create their own poll questions. Those selected will be put to the American people in professional polls implemented by Zogby International, one of America's leading opinion research organizations. Zogby will take polls on each question in the same manner as it does for elections, commercial clients and others. Results will be reported at the Future Brief website, with credit given to the person providing the question.
Although this offer is limited to email or RSS subscribers to Future Brief's newsletter and RSS feed, its publications are entirely free of cost and free of advertising. Anyone can subscribe and submit questions for consideration. Future Brief has no ideological or theological agenda and welcomes readers from more than 80 nations every day. A public service of New Global Initiatives, Inc. of Bethesda, Maryland, Future Brief has won a loyal following for its objectivity and for the insightful articles on topics ranging from terrorism to nanotechnology at its Commentary section.
Simple, clear instructions can be found at http://www.futurebrief.com/polloffer.asp.
If you could poll the American people, what would you ask? For the first time, you can actually find out how America feels about a question that's important to you.
About Future Brief
Quantum physics, terrorism, Moore's Law, global warming, increasing human migration, incurable deadly viruses, ever more sophisticated surveillance, the list goes on and on. We speak of "global community", but can forget that community-building has always been a painful experience in human history. The reward potential is balanced by the risk potential. Neither should be ignored.
Scientists today speak of the "NBIC convergence" - the interaction of advances in nanotechnology, biotechnology, the information sciences, and the cognitive sciences. Future Brief takes one step back and looks at the greater convergence of the accelerating changes in science and technology with the equally rapidly accelerating changes in society and politics.
Future Brief is an organic, growing resource center. What you see now is only a beginning. Our purpose is not only to provide commentary, but also to provide services to those with an interest in global convergence. This convergence is of critical importance to all of us today and to those who will follow us in the future. We can either choose to deal constructively with it now or be forced to deal with it abruptly following a global catastrophe. We opt for the former.
Future Brief is an integral part of the work of New Global Initiatives, Inc., an American firm with a global perspective and global operations based in Bethesda, Maryland. However, New Global, as we're called informally, sees Future Brief as a collaborative effort with others sharing similar concerns and interests. Your participation in this site's development is not simply welcomed, it is genuinely encouraged. If you have ideas or recommendations, let us know.
Not only is our global community changing, it is changing at an accelerating pace. If you don't keep up, you will fall behind. Linear thinking will not suffice in an exponentially changing world.

A poll to create a poll ... delicious.
I just received this email. Hope you don't mind me posting it here. Pass it on.
I hope this makes its way around the USA several
times over!!!!!
So Be It!
THE LAW IS THE LAW
So if the US government determines that it is
against the law for the words "under God" to be on our money,
then, so be it.
And if that same government decides that the
"Ten Commandments" are not
to be used in or on a government installation,
then,so be it.
And since they already have prohibited any
prayer in the schools,
on which they deem their authority,
then so be it.
I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a
law abiding US citizen.
I say, "so be it," because I would like to think
that smarter people
than I are in positions to make good decisions.
I would like to think that those people have the
American Publics' best interests at heart.
BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?
Since we can't pray to God,
can't Trust in God
and
cannot Post His Commandments in Government buildings,
I don't believe the Government
and
it's employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations
which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets
of American life.
I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas,
Good Friday,
Thanksgiving
&
Easter.
After all, it's just another day.
________________________
I'd like the US Supreme Court to be in session on
Christmas,
Good Friday,
Thanksgiving
&
Easter
as well as Sundays.
After all, it's just
another day.
I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives
to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break."
After all ~
it's just
another day.
I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all
government offices &services would work on
Christmas,
Good Friday
&
Easter.
It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would
be just like any other day of the week to a government that is
trying to be"politically correct".
In fact....
I think that our government should work on Sundays
(initially set aside for worshipping God...)
because,
after all,
our government says that it should be just another day....
What do you all think????
If this idea gets to enough people,
maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the minority
opinions and begin,
once again,
to represent the 'majority' of ALL of the
American people.
SO BE IT...........
Please Dear Lord,
Give us the help needed to keep you in our country!
'Amen' and 'Amen'
Touche!
These are definitely things I never thought about but from now on, I will! and I will be sure to question those, in government, who support these changes
At the top, it says "I hope this makes its way around the USA
several times over!!!!!" Let's see that it does.
