This article, even the title of the article, Rumors can be misleading, make one suspicious of intent.

Bishop Matthew Clark has more to say on the issue of homosexuality in this 1997 homily:

"I think, for example, of how we all need to be as much in touch as we can possibly be with biblical scholarship as it applies to this question. Because I'm afraid the bible is used in ways that are not life-giving, but destructive as it's quoted about gay and lesbian people. I think we need to learn from the human sciences the research of which has yielded a lot of new information that I believe we have not as yet integrated into our knowledge and value systems and which we do not appreciate as elements which can alter honestly held but incorrect assumptions about other persons in our community."

Mass for gay and lesbian Catholics, families and friends

I remember when this Mass was held, but I've never read the homily. What an eye opener... sigh

First off, I'd like to say that I don't hold anything against gays; what they're doing is their business and none of mine. I do have issues with the radical gay agenda of forcing their sexuality down our (and our children's) throats. I've been around the block a few times and I know of the subculture within the gay community that prey on adolecent boys, aka chicken hawks. Most of the sexual abuse by priests was done to adolecent boys. Those priests who did that were chicken hawks *not* pedophiles. I know the Roman Catholic Church will survive, but in the mean-time, it's being torn-apart by this sexual abuse scandal. Rhetorical question, why make this problem worse and raise suspicion on oneself by publically celebrating this lifestyle with a Mass...

I've read about the supposed communist infiltration of the church by the communists. Could this thing with apostate bishops being put in place be part of a similar plan, an attempt to bring down the church?
