Do you subscribe to the Nicene Creed? The Apostles' Creed? The Athanasian Creed?

I subscribe to the Holy Bible and that is my creed....the word of God.

LOL! I think St. Paul must have been a good man to have in a bar fight, although St. Peter probably could have given him 30 pounds, being a hard working fisherman and all in the days before net winches . . .

Do you have a problem with someone praying the Lord's Prayer multiple times? Yes I do! Its called babbling. In

How can you say that saying the Our Father could be babbling?

And, since you seem to know what distinguishes prayer from babbling, can you point out --citing book, chapter, and verse of course -- which shows exactly how frequently and how many times constitutes babbling? Is it 3 times per hour? 4 times per day? Please assist me.

God was never called "Triune" in Scripture either. You're right...he wasn't....and is not!

You're right. You aren't a Protestant. You're a heretic.

Then why aren't you a Trinitarian? Or at least a Binatarian. Even if you want to argue the Holy Spirit's divinity, it's quite clear from John 1:1 that Christ was, is, and ever shall be God.

Ah, you have revealed yourself to be a Unitarian or a Jehovah's Witness.

I am neither and I find it amusing that this is important to you. Why is not just the "Word of God" sufficient for salvation. (Mark 7:13)"Thus you nullify the Word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that."

If you don't believe in a Triune God (that means Jesus isn't God then), then you are a Unitarian of some sort, whether by name or not. That means that you aren't following the Word of God, since even "Bible-believing" Christians (evangelicals, fundamentalists, etc.) even believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

If you don't believe in a Triune God (that means Jesus isn't God then)

Corinthians 8:6 "Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live." This would have been an excellent time for Paul(A.D. 55) to explain your trinity theory.

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God. He was with God in the beginning . John could have explained it here also.(A.D. 70/90)

Just a little inspiration for the battle:
Over the iron forest
He saw Our Lady stand
Her eyes were sad withouten art,
And seven swords were in her heart -
But one was in her hand.

GK Chesterton
Ballad of the White Horse

Mary, exterminatrix of all heresies, pray for us.

I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel. Genesis 3:15

Is this a new translation? She shall crush thy head and thous shalt lie in wait for her heel?

And to think you don't worship Mary ;-) j/k...I think you meant this...

From the RSV:

I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your seed and her seed;
he shall bruise your head,
and you shall bruise his heel."

This passage is not about Mary, it's about the promise of a Savior over the evil one...

What, that has been spoken is not in Scripture that shows how we are saved?

The creeds are clearly a recap of what Scripture teaches us...I subscribe to all of them, not because of tradition, but because they are wonderfully concise statements of the truths of Scripture...

Is this a new translation?

LOL, no. It's the Latin Vulgate.

"Pope Damasus assembled the first list of books of the Bible at the Roman Council in 382 A.D. He commissioned St. Jerome to translate the original Greek and Hebrew texts into Latin, which became known as the Latin Vulgate Bible and was declared by the Church to be the only authentic and official version, in 1546."

This passage is not about Mary

Is that your infallible opinion?

Here's what it says in the commentary:

"She shall crush"... Ipsa, the woman; so divers of the fathers read this place, conformably to the Latin: others read it ipsum, viz., the seed. The sense is the same: for it is by her seed, Jesus Christ, that the woman crushes the serpent's head.

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God. He was with God in the beginning . John could have explained it here also.(A.D. 70/90)

Whoa! You just skipped some words there! Like "The Word was God". What kind of Bible are you reading?

That's quite what I was thinking. I'm glad I don't have people in my "real life" (outside cyberspace) who think of women as trash once they've given birth. Or at least if they do, they haven't mentioned it to me.

How do you know that the Bible is what you think it is? How do you know it's the Word of the Lord? Who told you so?

I believe it is the Word of God with childlike faith.

I am amazed that you would even attempt to dispute that obvious fact.

You seem to be disputing the fact that God wrote the bible, I'll dispute that dispute all day.
