I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel. Genesis 3:15

Is this a new translation? She shall crush thy head and thous shalt lie in wait for her heel?

And to think you don't worship Mary ;-) j/k...I think you meant this...

From the RSV:

I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your seed and her seed;
he shall bruise your head,
and you shall bruise his heel."

This passage is not about Mary, it's about the promise of a Savior over the evil one...

Is this a new translation?

LOL, no. It's the Latin Vulgate.

"Pope Damasus assembled the first list of books of the Bible at the Roman Council in 382 A.D. He commissioned St. Jerome to translate the original Greek and Hebrew texts into Latin, which became known as the Latin Vulgate Bible and was declared by the Church to be the only authentic and official version, in 1546."

This passage is not about Mary

Is that your infallible opinion?

Here's what it says in the commentary:

"She shall crush"... Ipsa, the woman; so divers of the fathers read this place, conformably to the Latin: others read it ipsum, viz., the seed. The sense is the same: for it is by her seed, Jesus Christ, that the woman crushes the serpent's head.
