Yes, George is safe. He rode out the storm on the second floor of his Parish offices. At the worst of the storm, he got into the vault! We tried to talk him into leaving, but he said that the Parish had come through Camille with no damage and that the surge hadn't even gotten past the railroad tracks. Well, it did this time! He had water rushing past the buildings! Turns out, there was no damage to any of the Parish buildings, and he was OK.
