Praying for you, your family, friends, and fellow parishioners during this time of crisis for New Orleans and Louisiana. May Our Lady of Prompt Succour come swiftly to your aid.
Amen!
Has anyone been in touch?
Dear Sister,
Thank you SO much for this wonderful prayer thread. I, too, wanted to pray for these dear friends. I have been very worried.
On LF, where Askel still posts regularly, she has not put in a post for the last few days, and there is no current news of her. This does not mean she is in danger, but one would like to know that she is safe.
I join you in your prayer. May all reach safety on time and may the winds spare their homes.
Our Lady of Prompt Succor, patron of new Orleans, please pray for them
I will be praying for everyone all night, fatima
Please notify me via FReepmail if you would like to be added to or taken off the Prayer Ping List.
Please post your prayers to Romulus; Askel5;
Oops, forgot to ping everyone!
And prayers too for the priests and religious whwo stay behind to minister to the dying and the sick. (It is such a Catholic town!)
Can you envision one huge Mass inside that superdome? I can!
Amen to prayers for all the priests and religious who have remained behind. Amen.
Amen. St. Agatha, pray for them.
Saying Rosary tonight with our children up here in Detroit. I have a sister-in-law who remained in New Orleans with her son a NO policeman. My husband's pretty torn up, he wanted us to move back when he retires, I pray it will be there.

prayers for all
A Prayer for the National Guard, Emergency personnel, Police and Fire personneland all the people in shelters:
Lord, give them strength and endurance through the long night ahead; give them the courage and fidelity to perform their duties well; bless all their efforts to save life and limb of the citizens entrusted to their care.
Surround all shelters with a cordon of Your Heavenly Host, to guard all those sheltered, in their lying down and their waking up.
Let the walls and roof of the Dome hold fast until the storm passes. Protect especially all the babies and children within, and all the elderly and infirm.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend them all in the battle they will go through tonight.
Mother Mary, put all these people under your mantle, and protect them as only you can.
Amen.
I didn't know cpforlife.org was from there. My prayers rise up!
