Floriduh Voter had a serious car accident this afternoon on 66th St. by Hospice and is lucky to be alive. FV's car went airborne after being hit and there were no brakes. She flew north onto a median and the car wouldn't stop - something told her to put the car in park and to take the key out. FV ended up in southward oncoming traffic facing north. Good Samaritans directed traffic around her car. (FV lost downforce when the impact took out the back windshield). The guy who hit FV was a half block south with the cops and paramedics. FV travelled a half a block, sometimes in mid-air. It was a miracle. Her car didn't make it but FV's going to take it easy for awhile. She REFUSED to sign a Living Will at the er. That was the first document shoved in her face.
For those following Terri Schiavo stories, this is very near the Hospice where Terri died.
I have no details whatsoever at this time except what I included here, will just add them if I get them or others as it comes in. FV could sure use some prayers and support.

What happened to the brakes?
Were they totally gone?
My mechanic told me when your brakes fail, there is always SOMETHING there to slow you down.
Sounded to me that once she was hit, she had no breaking capability. Sounds like she had quite a flight.

Well, nothing really standing out...It was the route from the Hospice towards the police station on the way to the library where I would post. I would feel flashes of dread driving that stretch, and that is where the motorcycle gendermes went after me, stopping me for almost a half hour while checking my credentials, no apparent reason except my driving away from the Hospice site.
When I first arrived on scene, I came from the north down 66th, and could sense a dark gloom enveloping me as I searched for the right intersection where the Hospice was. Then the right place appeared and without any problem at all I knew I found the Hospice. It was almost like sensing my location, something that doesn't jibe with plain travel thinking. The whole area had an aura of the unreal to me, at least, not scary, just unreal.
Prayers for FV who has done so much for Terri.

Sweet, sweet, precious Lord Jesus: I join my fellow fans of Terri's biggest supporter, our angel on Earth, and offer up my holiest love and devotion to You, Lord, in my prayer that she be released from her hospital bed quickly.
Precious Lord, I offer up my holiest praise that you had the Wisdom and Foresight to put our Floriduh Voter in an emerergency room where she could be freeping within a mere 55 seconds of 8mmMauser's announcement of today's tragedy.

Many of you may not know that Floriduh voter did a lot of the leg work down in Florida during the time of Terri Schiavo's death.
