It is their money, and they will be investing it according to their lights. If their new investments underperform their old investments, they will be punishing themselves for a bad decision. And if their new investments outperform their old investments, the decision about investment switch will be more than justified.

They don't care about the profitability of investments, they're making a political statement. If they could make a huge return on Israeli investments, they would still be following this policy of disinvestment.
