They don't care about the profitability of investments, they're making a political statement. If they could make a huge return on Israeli investments, they would still be following this policy of disinvestment.

Permit me to doubt, at least on this point. Like everyone else, they would like to make whatever statements on the cheap, and would not be willingly taking a large investment hit. And if they are willingly taking a sizeable hit, then they are to be commended for putting their money where their mouth is - it would be more than I can say about quite a few investors.
