You are making fools of yourselves.
All you are going to do is create enough publicity to sell more books and make a bigger hit of the movie.
There isn't anyone left who hasn't heard all about the premise of the book, anyway.

I thought is was a silly book.
I also saw sparks of blasphemy therein.

Sorry, can't help you there. Ever.
I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man. --- Thomas Jefferson, letter to Benjamin Rush, 1800.
Books are the tangible manifestation of the mind of man. So long as it is restricted to thoughts and not action, neither you, I nor anyone else has the right or authority to prevent anything. Literally.

Um, is everyone aware that this is *fiction*?
And a best-selling novel, to boot? There's no way that this film won't be made. It's already started - do you think the studio will stop it?

Spreading lies about matters of historical fact is the most effective form of tyranny. The Hollywood garbage has no legitimacy, -- nearly every movie they produce deserves to be banned along with leaded gasoline and other pollutants.

I realize it's fiction, but how many morons who read the book or see a potential movie will think it is the truth?

Just standing up and speaking out about my disdain for this book and potential movie -- my right, correct?

Ya know, people tried the same thing with "The Passion" . . .

Columbia Pictures would like to thank you, in advance, for all of the free publicity you will be providing this movie.

nearly every movie they produce deserves to be banned along with leaded gasoline and other pollutants. I have a much simpler solution- just don't watch the tripe you don't like.

At least "The Passion of the Christ" was based on the Gospels!
This is all lies.

Well, it's our responsibility as Christians to be informed well enough to counter
fiction with facts. My confidence to do so is unshakeable, and have no need to ban anything or anyone, so long as there is not a physical threat to anyone.
So we simply disagree.

The people that protested "The Passion" felt the same way.
Personally, I'm of the opinion that there is no such thing as bad publicity when it comes to Christ. If this movie sparks an interest in Jesus in somebody, and they pick up a Bible, they will know the truth. God is too good not to reveal Himself to somebody who really has a desire to know Him.
