The Godless socialist left is trying their best to portray Christians as radical, bible-thumping gnomes, that don't do or say anything without there being something in the bible that qualifies it. They could not be MORE WRONG as noted herein. Anything to take attention from the fact they want to live lives in which they ARE NEVER MEASURED AGAINST ANY STANDARD OF BEHAVIOR OR MORAL SYSTEM. Welcome to Godless communism.

Nice try pinkos!!

P.S. Please do not infer any denominational attacks from the fact that I posted this article. It's not my intent (on THIS thread) to get into those things. First of all, even the group that scored highest for biblical worldviews, the NonDenominationals, is still sinfully low. Conversely, my Catholic Mom definitely has a fully biblical worldview.

Don’t ask, “What would Jesus do?” You don’t know because you’re not Jesus. Ask instead, “What does the Bible say?”

*************

An excellent point the author makes here.

"Conversely, my Catholic Mom definitely has a fully biblical worldview."

No offense taken. Of course exactly what it means to have "a fully Biblical worldview" is not at all agreed upon between Catholics and non-Catholics. Non-Catholics and Catholics would dispute exactly what this means, with both claiming the others' views are not exactly "fully Biblical," so I think this article, as it is posited, is not very useful.

Every baptized Christian (which is what makes one a Christian) has a different understanding of what "fully Biblical" means and has a greater or lesser understanding of the practice of the fullness of the Faith that Christ left the Apostles and His Church.

Godless communism had/has its own system of "behavioral standards" and "morals". While these do not coincide with the traditional religious ones [albeit there would be an overlap], they did/do exist, and to deny their existence is to demonstrate ignorance. Any reasonably well-developed world-view has to have its ethical framework, and that includes godless communism.

How interesting. Sounds like something out of the CPUSA readings...ethical standards? Would you care to enlighten us as to ethical standards and morals in the world of hard communism??? If Joseph Stalin were alive, he would probably like to hear it too...

Absolute moral truths exist. The Bible defines moral truth. Jesus Christ lived a sinless life. God is the all-powerful and all-knowing Creator of the universe, and He rules it today. Salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned. Satan is real. Christians have a responsibility to share their faith in Christ with others. The Bible is accurate in all its teachings.

Why would anyone who says they are a Christian have a problem with any of this?

1% of Catholics believe in those eight statements? Sadly, looks like Barna had turned to the fundraising technique of making preposterous statements to get press coverage.

And its amazing... someone republishes these findings every two weeks!

No-one. I suspect that the poll interprets anyone who doesn't agree with all of the polltaker's "absolute moral truths" as not believing in absolute moral truths.

My Roman Catholic pastor is a liberal pinko. But he passes the Barna test as presented here.

There's no way I could comment on such an article unless I at least saw the exact questions asked and the percentage that people responded yes to by question.

The problem with this definition is that there are several Christian denominations do not agree with the bloded interpretation of the Bible, so that throws the statistics right off.

Joseph Stalin would not need to hear of it. He used to promote "exemplary workers" like Stakhanovites, military heroes (till they were removed from the public life as enemies of the people) and other suchlike and hold them up as living examples of proper, correct, patriotic and ethical behavior and morals, for everyone to imitate and aspire to. Thus there were standards, as you could see. Their quality is another matter. There was even a formalized and very primitive written code, for the young generation. A good example of [and for] the communist youth would be one Pavlik Morozov, a youngster who reported on his father during the collectivization, and got killed for it. The father was disappeared, of course, and Pavlik became an official icon and a standard for others to measure against.

I wonder what the figures for Orthodox Christians in this country are. Since our worldview tends to be quite different from that of most Americans, I also wonder how it would measure up on whatever scale this author is using.
