The Godless socialist left is trying their best to portray Christians as radical, bible-thumping gnomes, that don't do or say anything without there being something in the bible that qualifies it. They could not be MORE WRONG as noted herein. Anything to take attention from the fact they want to live lives in which they ARE NEVER MEASURED AGAINST ANY STANDARD OF BEHAVIOR OR MORAL SYSTEM. Welcome to Godless communism.
Nice try pinkos!!

P.S. Please do not infer any denominational attacks from the fact that I posted this article. It's not my intent (on THIS thread) to get into those things. First of all, even the group that scored highest for biblical worldviews, the NonDenominationals, is still sinfully low. Conversely, my Catholic Mom definitely has a fully biblical worldview.

Dont ask, What would Jesus do? You dont know because youre not Jesus. Ask instead, What does the Bible say?*************
An excellent point the author makes here.

Absolute moral truths exist. The Bible defines moral truth. Jesus Christ lived a sinless life. God is the all-powerful and all-knowing Creator of the universe, and He rules it today. Salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned. Satan is real. Christians have a responsibility to share their faith in Christ with others. The Bible is accurate in all its teachings. Why would anyone who says they are a Christian have a problem with any of this?

1% of Catholics believe in those eight statements? Sadly, looks like Barna had turned to the fundraising technique of making preposterous statements to get press coverage.
And its amazing... someone republishes these findings every two weeks!

There's no way I could comment on such an article unless I at least saw the exact questions asked and the percentage that people responded yes to by question.

Salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned. Satan is real. Christians have a responsibility to share their faith in Christ with others. The Bible is accurate in all its teachings. The problem with this definition is that there are several Christian denominations do not agree with the bloded interpretation of the Bible, so that throws the statistics right off.

Re: "Nondenominational Protestant churches yielded the highest percentage of persons with a Biblical worldview (13%), with Pentecostal churches next (10%), and Baptists third (8%). Mainline Protestant churches (2%) and Catholics (1%) brought up the rear."
Cafeteria Catholics are not real Catholics. It is to be pitied that the Catholic segment does not break down between Traditional Catholics and Mainline Catholics. At 60+ million strong in this country alone it seems 1% of that figure is justification for a little separate analysis.
I am telling you they have a Biblical world view that would put any to shame. Just ask any stray FR Deacon and they will tell you ;-)

Saying that the Bible is the Truth doesn't help much since few sects agree on what that truth means. If the Bible was some sort of magical method for arriving at the truth there would not be hundreds of sects which differ as to what it means. Or thousands in the last 2000 years. And we aren't speaking of just minor disagreements either but major issues.

Read the Bible every day, making it an indispensable part of your daily routine That is THE most important thing a Christian can do. I'm amazed at how many Christians have never read the Bible. How can anyone know what God commands us to do it they don't know what His Word says. I will never trust anyone to get me into Heaven. Not even a preacher. There's a lot of them who don't know the Word.
When I got saved, I didn't even have a Bible. A new Christian friend went right out and got one for me and I read that thing until I could no longer read it. It was destroyed. LOL I was like a sponge. I couldn't soak it up fast enough. I have since gone through 3 more and I'm working on a 4th, in addition to reading the on line Bible a couple of times. I'm in no way a Bible scholar, but it will be hard for anyone to ever deceive me about what I'm supposed to do as a Christian.

It really helps to be in the Word, that is, to study it, and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal its' truth to your heart and mind. There's the cultural, tradition oriented Christianity, and there's the relational kind, involving an actual relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe He wants to reveal Himself and His truth to us, which he delivers to us through His Word, the scriptures. We are so privileged to have access and freedom to openly study His Word in this time and place. He is so good to give it to us; I think we are accountable to Him for what we do with it.

Radio evangelist Chuck Baldwin, WorldNetDaily, and Whistleblower magazine have recently revisited findings by Christian opinion researcher George Barna that only 9% of born-again Christians have a Biblical perspective on life
That's perfect, since Evangelical Christianity isn't biblical either.

"In general, he found, people who do not have a Biblical worldview are much more likely than those who do have a Biblical worldview to condone or engage in immoral behavior: cohabitation, drunkenness, homosexual activity, adultery, profanity, voluntary exposure to pornography, abortion, and gambling. For example, those who held a non-Biblical worldview were 31 times more likely to accept cohabitation than the Biblically faithful."

Believing in evolution is a good example of a nonbiblical world view.
