Actually, some of us are pretty good at baiting each other without any help from the prods! :)
I must say that I do think it would be fun to watch you guys do the hard fasts throughout the year, though.
In fact, almost all of us, both the Orthodox and the Catholics of any rite, on these threads have learned a lot from each other and there is no way that can be bad. That understanding alone is worth the occassional baiting or arrogant remark. And even those, when they come from one of us, is an indication of where there is work to do and repentence to be made if we are to continue to have the discussions the Pope and at least some of our hierarchs have asked us to have. I think these discussions also promote the monastic virtues of discretion and compunction, or at least when we fail to exercise those virtues, our discussions of the Fathers and their writings tend to rise up before us as a sort of rebuke and a reminder to do better the next time.
