Traditional Anglican ping, continued in memory of its founder Arlin Adams.

FReepmail sionnsar if you want on or off this moderately high-volume ping list (typically 3-7 pings/day).
This list is pinged by sionnsar and newheart.

It would appear that Roskham has done this before in LA last year. I'd post her photo but the website won't let me. Pipes & Pedals in L.A., Hip Hop in New York

There are some interesting quotes from her Bronx ceremony this year, and if I was nice I wouldn't do this to you, but oh, well...

"My sistas and brothas, all my homies and peeps, stay up -- keep your head up, holla back, and go forth and tell like it is." With this proclamation, Bishop Suffragan Cathy Roskam of New York sent people on their way at the Bronx's third Hip Hop Mass, held Friday, July 2 at Trinity Church of Morrisania

The 23rd Psalm

The Lord is all that, I need
For nothing
He allows me to chill.
He keeps me from being heated
And allows me to breathe easy.
He guides my life so that
I can represent and give
Shouts out in his Name.
And even though I walk through
The Hood of death,
I don't back down
For you have my back.
The fact that you have me covered
Allows me to chill.
He provides me with back-up
In front of my player-haters
And I know that I am a baler
And life will be phat
I fall back in the Lord's crib
For the rest of my life

Pah, that ain't religious rap. THIS is religious rap:

Giovanni Paolo by Fr. Stan Fortuna

I thought I would hate this, but my wife and I watched the video and we found ourselves liking it! Somehow, it worked on both a spiritual and a hip-hop level.

Wherever such horrors arise, the International Commission for Ebonics English in the Liturgy cannot be far behind. Or they could just plug in the GIRM into Gizoogle and save everyone else the hassle.

It's a fine thing,
A bread and wine thing,
Not a foolin' with the droolin'
That the drums bring.
Just hear me holler,
To see the collar,
Of the hurley-burley clergy
On a ding-a-ling.

Hey, hey my brothas,
And all you mothas,
Yo Rambo
It's time to go,
I've said my d'ruthas, hey, hey!
I've said my d'ruthas, hey, hey!
