1 Samuel 2:3
"Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the LORD is a God who knows, and by him deeds are weighed.

Indeed.
1 John 1:8
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

Oh my! Perish the thought that anyone would think they are the Lord God Jesus Christ. I am just a lowly sinner! I am also not demanding any answers from you. I am trying to understand what spirit is behind you so that others may know whether to take you seriously or not, to see if we have fellowship in the Lord Jesus or not in this matter, or perhaps altogether. Nothing more, nothing less.

1 John 1:1-3: "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life -- the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us -- that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

I am not going to trade scripture with you unless you first can address some simple questions. I quit doing that years ago. It serves no Godly purpose. Any fool can use scripture for their own evil purposes. And any believer, acting in the flesh can do the same. And many, many, many do - both categories. Now, if you are willing to have a Christlike discussion of the Word, then that would be GREAT - for that will result in His Name being exalted! But that entails probing questions and answering of issues brought up on both sides, and most of all knowing that it is the Holy Spirit that will bring each to His Truth - in His own time and way if they so desire.

If you want to continue in this, you will do it without me. Been there, done that. But, if you truly desire to fellowship in the Lord Jesus, seeking out His truth, then I will gladly find the time to do so with you. Your choice.

Of course you are. It is an arrogant and sinful practice.

I am not going to trade scripture with you unless you first can address some simple questions.

I never asked you to. In fact, yesterday I said I wouldn't. But the attacks continue, so here we are.

I quit doing that years ago.

No you didn't, you will still do so as long as I meet your "conditions", namely, I must answer your questions.

It serves no Godly purpose.

Bingo! So why do you do it? And why do you seek comfort from others who do?

Any fool can use scripture for their own evil purposes.

Gee, ya think????? Who would the fool be in this case?

If you want to continue in this, you will do it without me.

I have no interest in continuing. I responded to your posts to me.

The thread isn't about discussing scripture, it's about arrogant people attacking and slandering a fellow Christian. I call them on it, if you take offence at that, oh well.

In this quote nothing is absolute.Everything is relative

Seems that subjectivity of truth was mentioned in the one of the last church meetings I was in discussing this, too. No wonder Rick Warren catches on. NO one has discernment anymore.

Check out http://www.twincityfellowship.com/downloads.php and http://www.twincityfellowship.com/cic/downloads.php

Absolutely wonderful messages and articles even the ones that aren't addressing this Gospel-detracting fad.

You elevate Rick Warren as if he was the second coming, when in fact this movement is Peter Drucker,s idea more than it is Warrens.
Why don,t you elevate him as well.

You can continue to follow Warren and Drucker,I,m going to follow Jesus and the Bible.

I wasted enough time with your arrogant foolishness. The fact that the Pdl Pdc movement uses Carl Jungs Psychological profiling is UNBIBLICAL. Its called HUMANISM.

You elevate Rick Warren as if he was the second coming,

Please cite the post where I did that, or withdraw your slanderous and sinful false witness.

You can continue to follow Warren and Drucker,I,m going to follow Jesus and the Bible.

More lies. Do you think lying is a Christian activity? Do you think bearing false witness is following Jesus?

I wasted enough time with your arrogant foolishness.

Every single thing you have posted has been arrogant and foolish.

The fact that the Pdl Pdc movement uses Carl Jungs Psychological profiling is UNBIBLICAL. Its called HUMANISM.

The FACT is, you have an opinion about that. It happens to be incorrect, but that is beside the point. You are clueless as to the meaning of the scriptures you quote. You are arrogant, prideful, hateful, slanderous and sickening.

Here is the link to Pdl,Pdc use of Carl Jungs personality profiling.
Who in their right mind would use anything from Carl Jung.
Jung had his own personal demon spirit he channeled named philomon along with all the others.

Lets see you point by point discredit the proof that warren,s movement is not using Jungs profiling and where they are not using contemplative prayer that is borrowed from Eastern Mysticism.
Maybe you think Warren has the ability to change them into things Jesus would approve of.

Do you Think that?
Are you part of the Cosmic Christ Crowd?

The thread isn't about discussing scripture, it's about arrogant people attacking and slandering a fellow Christian. I call them on it, if you take offence at that, oh well.

There is a big difference between slandering an individual, Christian or not, and refuting their false teachings. We are called not to do the former but we are called to do the latter. 1 John 4 1:6 is a great example of that. And many of Warren's teachings do not pass that scriptural test. There are those who are called to warn others of the poisonous fruit (even if it is mixed with good fruit). And many do so in a Christlike manner. Sadly though, many do not.

So when you judged and slandered others whom articles you did not appear to read, then I was trying to see on what basis you were doing that, and if bringing the source of all Truth - scripture into it, then I call that discussing scripture. Again, that is all. I can see that this isn't working to try to reasonably discuss with you. I could ask you to show where you think these people are arrogant but quite frankly I am afraid that you will think I am demanding an answer from you.

Right, they slandered him. Perhaps you support that slander. Perhaps not.

And many of Warren's teachings do not pass that scriptural test.

In your opinion.

And many do so in a Christlike manner. Sadly though, many do not.

Mnay of them are on this thread.

So when you judged and slandered others

I didn't slander anyone, but by claiming I did, YOU JUST DID. So much for the Christlike manner. Get a mirror.

and if bringing the source of all Truth - scripture into it, then I call that discussing scripture

The source of all truth is scripture, the difference is, YOU think you are the one that interprets what scripture means. You are not. Such an attitude is arrogant.

Now I have showed you where YOU are arrogant, you might want to address that before you start questioning me on why others are arrogant.

He's leading thousands to a saving relationship with Jesus and discipling them to maturity. I doubt any of the rock throwers are doing 1/100,000th as much for Jesus.

Luke 13:23-28
Then one said to Him, "Lord, are there few who are saved?"

And He said to them, "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, "Lord, Lord, open for us,' and He will answer and say to you, "I do not know you, where you are from,' then you will begin to say, "We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.' But He will say, "I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.' There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out.

legitimate criticisms of his work aren't possible because too many are trashing the guy because he has a big church

He HAS a big church because he writes tripe and pretends it's Christian. It gives the unsaved something to do that makes them feel religious. A form of Godliness but denying the power thereof. In fact, his church is so huge you should see all the silly stuff it incorporates just to keep people interested. Coffee bars, exercise rooms, etc... Why, church is EASY and comfortable! Ain't that how it's supposed to be? Ahh...the lush life...

BTW my hubby has written up a several page paper detailing what the problems are with the book, and I'd highly recommend getting the book "Deceived on Purpose" by Warren Smith. Or go to http://www.mikecorley.org/teaching.shtml and download the interview with Warren Smith. (and the other links provided there which discuss Rick Warren) - very eye opening stuff... for those who care about the Word.
