I hope there is parallel movement toward establishing an "Augustana rite" for traditional Lutherans.

Please forgive my ignorance: "Augustana"?

None of us should be surprised by a variety of Rites coming to birth in the Latin Church under Pope Benedict XVI. I would think an "Anglican Rite" might be ruled out as a name -- but I would not be surprised if another name were chosen either ancient Salisbury or Glastonbury i.e., 'Sarum Rite' etc.

An Augustana Rite makes sense as a name for reuniting Lutherans within the Latin Church, and I can see how that would be appealing in part to the Holy Father. But perhaps such a Rite would take its name from the city where the Rite would be inaugurated.
