Didn't you know ? You only need to file if you are a resident of DC or a Federal employee.
Maybe the ACC should team up with ECUSA to develop an anti-traditionalist Anglican missile defense shield for North America! :-)
Early this morning I posted the proper Collect and lessons for the day. This action is truly the fulfillment of the prayer:
Almighty God, you chose your faithful servant Mattias to be numbered among the twelve. Grant that your Church, being delivered from false apostles, may always be taught and guided by faithful and true pastors; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
Primates Statement - Anglican Mainstream Response
25th February 2005
We are grateful to God and to the Primates for the prayerful and considered way in which they have addressed the serious issues facing the Anglican Communion.
We welcome their strong endorsement of Lambeth 1:10 as the standard of Christian teaching on matters of human sexuality and their endorsement of the general thrust of the Windsor Report, including specifically the central place Anglicans accord to the authority of scripture and of 'autonomy-in-communion' as the balanced exercise of inter-dependence.
We support their request that ECUSA and the Anglican Church of Canada voluntarily withdraw from the Communion for the three years leading up to Lambeth 2008
We further support their request to their fellow bishops for a moratorium on public Rites of Blessing for same-sex unions and on the consecration of any bishop living in a sexual relationship outside Christian marriage.
We also support their request that the Archbishop of Canterbury establishes a panel of reference to supervise the adequacy of pastoral provisions for groups in 'serious theological dispute' with their diocesan bishop or dioceses in dispute with their Provinces.
We agree that further, careful work is needed on the concept and content of the proposed Covenant and share their caution about an overriding international jurisdiction for the Archbishop of Canterbury.
We trust that all members of our Churches, and their leaders, will respond positively to the Primates' strategy for repairing the tear in the Communion and thus enable us to address with renewed vigour our common mission to share the love of Christ with a needy and hurting world.

Primates Statement - AAC / Network Response
25th February 2005
We are thankful for the work of the Primates of the Anglican Communion in addressing the complicated issues before them this week. This is a pivotal moment in Anglican history in which Biblical faithfulness has been reaffirmed. At last a clear and unequivocal choice has been presented to the Episcopal Church USA and the Anglican Church of Canada. Being asked voluntarily to withdraw, the two provinces have been effectively suspended from the Communion until at least July 2008 in order to consider their place within that body. They must choose between repentance marked by compliance with the Windsor Report or continued theological innovations that separate them from the teaching and life of the Anglican Communion. We applaud the pastoral sensitivity with which the Primates have addressed the concerns of those who feel betrayed by their church leadership as well as those of homosexual orientation.
Out of twenty-two paragraphs of the Communiqué, 15 focus on the Windsor Report, clearly indicating that the theological crisis faced by the Communion was the primates central concern. The Communiqué gives hopeful evidence, however, that having dealt with this issue, the Communion can turn to critical matters such as developing effective strategies to address HIV AIDS, TB, malaria, absolute poverty and hunger reduction.
We will continue to pray for the Communion in this solemn period of transition as the church sorts out the various implications and ramifications of the Primates 2005 Communiqué.
Father John sent it to us in email. I can forward it to ya if you want his comments.
Very good point.
How true, and that is very funny.:)
Isn't the property owned by the Church? Why don't they just close the doors on the Churches until better leadership can be found. The Bihops that are in revolt should be dismissed.
Okay, I have read the letter by David Virtue, and the report. What remains unclear to me is what will happen to those diocese and parishes of the ECUSA who wish to remain Anglican, and distance themselves from said ECUSA.
I have not seen anything definitive on the issue, except for the forming of the Network of Anglican Communion Dioceses and Parishes. I guess what I am wondering is how this effects those of ECUSA who remain faithful to biblical principle.
egads, redundancy. Time for bed!
Some thoughts on this (I'm a Catholic, but our liberals want to take us in the same direction as ECUSA, so this is very relevant!):
Do you think that in addition to not consecrating Bishops who are living in sin, they would also address priests, and perhaps even laity, in that situation?
And I'm pleased with the phrase "a sexual relationship outside Christian marriage." I've been saying for a long time that homosexuality is the tail of the camel, so to speak. The head and body were the almost universal acceptance of heterosexual unchastity, both in general society and in the church.
David Virtue speaks as a wild eyed thumper of evil. He has good insider tidbits, but he WANTS change so much that he wears his rose colored glasses to his keyboard.
I am sure the conservative Primates would agree but the issue is both political and theological.
I agree. He may even have a rose colored keyboard. One has to take Virtue's commentary with a grain of salt. But he remains the best source for tracking all the developments in the unfolding saga of the Epicopal church.
I don't know if the local property belongs to the national church, but I do know that in most instances (but not all) local parish property is held in trust for the diocese.
But even that doesn't settle the issue. The courts will have to sort this out unless the ECUSA develops an unlikely streak of magnanimity. </holding my breath>
