Please join me in prayer for John Paul II. I am asking that we don't bicker, just pray on this thread. God bless.
Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to You. Allow your healing hand to heal your servant, John Paul. Touch his soul with Your compassion for others. Touch his heart with Your courage and infinite love for all. Touch his mind with Your wisdom, that his mouth may always proclaim Your praise. Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring him health in body and spirit that he may serve You with all his strength. Touch gently this life which You have created, now and forever. Amen.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on the sick and dying.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death, Amen.
Prayer ping !
Your will be done, Oh Lord. Bless the Holy Father and keep him comfortable.
This day, O Lord,
I pray for those who hurt
hurt from the frailty of their bodies,
hurt from the injury caused by another,
hurt from those who are caught up in the misfortunes
life brings -
the effect of storm, flood, war, fire,
hurt from the effects of their sins.
Lord, have mercy on them
ease the hurt of their bodies,
their hearts,
their spirits,
send them help and comfort,
and may the person
who is to be the tool of your aid to them
not tell you no.
Today, O Lord,
I pray for the angry,
those who burn for wrongs once done,
or percieved threat,
or who ache because of injustice,
or all the thousand reasons we find
to nurse the flame
of hurt and anger and hate
until it explodes into rage.
O Lord,
help their heart find ease
and comfort,
and release from the fire that consumes them,
and may the messenger of your peace,
by action, word, deed,
be open to your call.
O Lord, today,
If I hear your call,
harden not my heart,
but aid me in answering you.
Amen.
Here's to you, Pope John Paul.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on the sick and dying.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death, Amen.
Omnipotent and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Thy sick servant,John Paul, for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy, that, with his bodily health restored, he may give thanks to Thee in Thy church. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lord,
you know your own,
those who love you,
those who walk in your footsteps,
those who call your name
with love and hope.
Be with those this day
in their beds of sickness,
those who you will take home,
those who you will give healing
those who will linger
in that twilight
until they are ready for the next step.
Tonight, I ask
especially that you watch over your servant
John Paul
who has worked until his body
has grown twisted and weary,
his heart, though, bright with your light.
And in this time of acute sickness,
hold his hand,
comfort him,
and be with him
and all others in such need of you.
Amen.
I pray for the health of the Pope, for the Catholics he leads and for the hand of God in the selection of the new Pope if it comes to that.
This Pope has been a terrific leader for this church, he fought communism, humanism and against moral relativism.
He is the right Pope for the times he has served and I pray we get him for a bit longer time.
This is my favorite prayer from the Mass, and is helpful in times of uncertainty:
Deliver us, Lord, from every evil and grant us peace in our day. In your mercy keep us free from sin and protect us from all anxiety as we wait in joyful hope for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on the faithful.
For he knows how we are formed, remembers that we are dust.
Our days are like the grass; like flowers of the field we blossom.
The wind sweeps over us and we are gone; our place knows us no more.
But the LORD'S kindness is forever, toward the faithful from age to age. He favors the children's children
of those who keep his covenant, who take care to fulfill its precepts.
Psalm 103:13-18
Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight, and give your angels charge over those who sleep.
Tend your sick ones, O Lord Christ.
Rest your weary ones.
Bless your dying ones.
Soothe your suffering ones.
Pity your afflicted ones.
Shield your joyous ones.
And for all your love's sake. Amen.
In your kindness, O Lord, visit the sick,
and in your mercy, heal the afflicted.
Grant wholeness of body and soul
to all who suffer from illness and grief,
and seek compassion and mercy from you.
Praise be to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
now and forever. Amen.

Prayer for Those Who Suffer
For those who suffer, and those who cry this night, give them repose, Lord; a pause in their burdens.
Let there be minutes where they experience peace, not of man but of angels.
Love them, Lord, when others cannot.
Hold them, Lord, when we fail with human arms.
Hear their prayers and give them the ability to hear You back in whatever language they best understand.

The Holy Father has my prayers.
I'm not a Catholic, but will pray for the Pope, in the name of Jesus.
Psalm for the Sick
O Lord, in your anger punish me not; in your wrath chastise me not. For your arrows have sunk deep in me; your hand has come down upon me. There is no health in my flesh because of your indignation; there is no wholeness in my bones because of my sin. For my iniquities have overwhelmed me; they are like a heavy burden, beyond my strength. Noisome and festering are my sores, because of my folly. I am stooped and bowed down profoundly; all the day I go in mourning. For my loins are filled with burning pains; there is no health in my flesh. I am numbed and severely crushed; I roar with anguish of heart. O Lord, all my desire is before you; from you my groaning is not hid. My heart throbs, my strength forsakes me; the very light of my eyes has failed me. For I am very near to falling; and my grief is with me always. Indeed, I acknowledge my guilt; I grieve over my sins. Forsake me not, O Lord,; my God be not far from me! Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation. Let me know, O Lord, my end and what is the number of my days, that I may learn how frail I am. A short span you have made my days, and my life is as nought before you; only a breath is any human existence. Hear my prayer, O Lord, to my cry give ear; to my weeping be not deaf! For I am but a wayfarer before you, a pilgrim like all my fathers. Turn you gaze from me that I may find respite, ere I depart and be no more.
Taken from Psalms 37 and 38
Words written by John Paul II on the sick:
"Doctors, nurses, chaplains and all other hospital staff:
yours is a noble vocation.
Remember it is Christ to whom you minister in the sufferings
of your brothers and sisters....
May God bless and comfort all who are sick.
May Jesus Christ, the savior of the world and healer of the sick,
make His light shine through human weakness
as a beacon for us all."
Pope John Paul II
