Are you gnostic, prophetic or foolish... I can come up with dozens of senarios that predict dates. Probably should stay away from fixing dates since "no man knows the hour...".

The hour not the year. I don't claim to know when Jesus will return but there are many clues that GOD has foretold to the prophets for us to have insight with. Study Daniel's 70 weeks, Ezekiel, there is nothing wrong or ungodly with studying prophecy..

What you said.
I remember when it was said, on good authority, the world was going to end, oh, about 20 years ago. Or was that 30 years ago? All of these predictions tend to run together after the end of the world has been predicted with such regularity these last few decades.

Can't know the hour, but we can know the season. That is pretty much all this is saying, the season.

I agree. Elements of the Christian community have embarrassed themselves too many time picking dates.
When I was younger I took a keener interest in the end times - but I think God wants me at least to live in the here and now.
The people of the Middle Ages also expected the coming of the anti-Christ in their time.
Indeed there are certain historical deeds that must and have fallen in place. The creation of Israel was one.
What has become clearer to me is where the US will stand. 5 years ago, I had no idea if the US would side against Israel or not. I now believe it is likely the United States will be the one of few who will stand behind Israel. France, Germany, and the Arab states will those landing on the shores of Tel Aviv. Where Canada, the UK, Australia will stand is harder to say. In the meantime the faithful may be driven from these nations into the United States. Switzerland, a very faithful nation, will no longer be able to seriously stand behind neutrality. It will have to make a choice. India I believe will be behind Israel. As will the Philippines.
Of some speculation to me is whether or not some modern nations will be intact. Will the United States break apart? Will Canada break apart?
