I wouldn't start bringing out the champagne yet. THe study said nothing about whether these women not using contraception are married or not, nor whether or not they are trying to get pregnant but plan on using contraception in the future.
Yep, I bet those choosing to not use contraception are unmarried. Perhaps the former feminists who have decided at 40 they want to have a baby.
I don't see anything wrong with contraception. Aborting a fertilized egg (fetus) is one thing, but preventing the fertilization is another. No child is conceived and then it isn't murder. Too many babies can equal death for a mother. I know one who just had her eighth child and the doc says no more or she can die. In that case, is contraception wrong? It it worse for this couple to use a condom than it would be for the mother to die in childbirth and leave 8 kids without a mom?
If you can't feed your family, should you use contraception? If you aren't supposed to have any more children (doc's orders), is it better to cut your husband off from sex or use contraception?
Think of all those people in underdeveloped countries who keep having babies and can't feed their families. They often end up selling one or more of their kids to other families as servants. Is it really worse to prevent a birth via contraception than to subject a child to starvation or servitude? Does anyone care about these kids after they are born?
