Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, the chief architect of Pope John Paul II's traditionalist moral policy, has long been a bugaboo for liberal Catholics. But they had stopped worrying that the German might one day ascend to St. Peter's throne. His hard-line views and blunt approach had earned him the epithet of panzerkardinal and too many enemies. Well, their worrying may now resume. Sources in Rome tell TIME that Ratzinger has re-emerged as the top papal candidate within the Vatican hierarchy, joining other front runners such as Dionigi Tettamanzi of Milan and Claudio Hummes of Sao Paolo. "The Ratzinger solution is definitely on," said a well-placed Vatican insider.

Wasn't that the role of Cain? Doesn't wash. Christ picked Judas because he had the potential to be a saint. Judas chose not to be one. Likewise, the Novus Order had the potential to bring great fruit to the Church. The administrators of the faith chose to abuse it. Get it?
And don't tell me Judas needed to betray Jesus for salvation to occur. The Pharisess would have gotten to him sooner or later. Judas was the dupe (and the dope).
Sorry antceecee, I was directing that post to another poster, not you...
Because I believe it has clearly led people away from the Faith. God might allow that but he would never author a plan that did such.
okay my son, now go forward and sin no more! : )
Doesn't everybody wish they were sinkspur?
LOL!!!
I too have had that same thought and I believe that is exactly what is happening, the Goats are being seperated from the sheep!! No doubt about it!! Those who are keeping the laws of God and those who are not. Thse who are destroying his house and those who are not. Thank You, Sir!
Not a very long list Sinky!!

Well that's your cross to bear, not mine. I wouldn't say that so fast though.
Do you have a raddie-traddie filter on your browser? I have no trouble pulling it up.
Of course I have a Traddie filter on my Browser! But it's Raddie!
If Vatican II is purifying the Church, as Rutles4Ever contends (I think he's right), I suspect you were one of the first ones out the door.
Can't you do better than a Deal Hudson publication? Might as well quote Pee Wee Herman.
If that's the best you can do, I'll stand by the article.
No doubt I was and I Thank God for that. Your link is your listing of accomplishments of Vatican II and the NO Church.
I read over it, but I would not call these accomplishments, as the empty pews prove and beyond all reasonable doubt. Vatican II and the NO church is a Total Failure. Where are the accomplishments?? I believe that these rantings were proposed earlier in the Churchs' history, but were soundly rejected.
After I watched the Funeral of JohnXXIII on TV and the New Pope Pope PaulVI had been chosen. There were charges then concerning Pope Pauls fathering of an illegitimate child. I recall that very vividly as their was a Women that had come forward and made the charges. There was even then the Rumor that the New Pope would not be the NEW Pope!! This of course was squashed!! Pope Paul VI was installed. The Heresy was maintained.
I am going to reread that article Sinky, I am not as closed minded as you and lived through that time. I therefore know the truth and can now see the reasons why things happened.
You are the first person I've ever seen put forward this preposterous charge. I don't believe this ever happened, but, it does further your malicious crusade against the Novus Ordo and Vatican II.
You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Is lying part of the MO of the traddies?
Why should I be ashamed of nyself, I did not father the child!! This is what the News reports were saying, I had nothing to do with the accusations! I just remember the news reports! I can still remember the Funeral Procession of John XXIII. You see, I lived through this, I remember it so very well. The church was a great part of my life, I am stunned that you cannot remember that, you were 7 or 8 yes! I was nearly in my teens!!
Oh well, it's what was reported and the women did come forward!
In addition, this would be part of Paul VI's legacy, and there is not a single mention anywhere on Google about it.
Perhaps you were confused.
Seriously Sinky, I am not blowing smoke up the pant leg here. I really do remember it being in the news, on TV. No I don't believe I am confused. I'll do some searching myself, maybe an old News Paper, Printed Copy would be the way to go. I'll check the newspaper archives. I am really serious, no joke!!
