But when God made man, he knew they would eat the fruit. Therefore, there was NO chance they would not eat it.
Foreknowledge does not equal causation.
I understand what you mean.
Thank you.
And yes, I have seen many of us lose people and make mention of it here.
But you don't deny that since everything is already pre-ordained, we have no free will to do anything other than that which is pre-determined?
You still have not explained how, if God knows they will eat the apple, there was any chance they would not eat it.
If God knows they will eat the apple, they will eat the apple. PERIOD. There is not alternative. There was ZERO chance they could have chosen obedience to God.
Afterall, God set up a plan of redemption for that situation, right? Since he knew the future, he knew he would need a plan of redemption.
Obviously, God would NOT set up a plan of redemption if he knew he would not need one.
What makes you think this was God's doing? Read Genesis again. We screwed this place up, not Him.
'but if you want to preach to me, you are wasting your time.'
It is never a waste of my time, yours if you exercise that will again.
GunnyBob is a talk show host like others on this Forum who post and use the reaction of Freepers for the basis of their show. This outrage at God was in the news, I expect it on his program.
Ah. Who is he?
I think you like to argue. I do not. I especially do not like to argue over things that are spiritual for it accomplishes nothing. Scripture says we are to avoid the "strife of tongues."
"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."(1 Corin. 1:18)
"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corin. 2:14)
"Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Or you will also be like him." (Prov. 26:4)
I will leave you with those thoughts and wish you a good night.

Seriesly!
Okay, how about this question? If Adam blew it, and God just made him out of dust, why didn't He just make another perfect man? Maybe the second one wouldn't fail. {I know the answer.}
Talk show host out of Denver, moved up to KOA the 50000 watt blowtorch of the Rocky mountains. Former AD Marine, quasi-libertarian, or so it seems, now an equal with God apparently.
Unlike our other one that I know of, he doesn't hide the fact. His screen name is the same as his show.
Of course. "strife of tongues" might lead to doubt and loss of faith thus thus less power to those in power.
A perfect example. God "wrote the book" and knows the actions of all the characters. No matter what, the characters will allways abide by the script; God's will.
Oh. I thought it might have been Boortz. He gets a kick out of yanking the Christian chains out there.
So, you're falling into the Calvinist extremism. Watch out over there...
Adam didn't "blow it". He did God's will. He didn't make "another perfect man" because that was not his plan. If it was his plan, he would have.
Wow, 758 posts. I see you got your explanation. Pretty quick, huh?

No, God's will was that he not eat the fruit. God said so, so that was His will. Or are you calling Him a liar?
