I Demand An Explanation From God

Sorry for being an arrogant, pretentious ass, but I want an explanation from God as to why he/she felt it was necessary to kill what is expected to be 100,000 people, probably more, especially in so nasty a fashion and especially when tens of thousands of the victims were children who never hurt anyone.

I've seen you do many horrific things in my lifetime, including what happens to innocent people's bodies in war, but this time you crossed the friggin' line.

If you are reading this, God, I require an explanation...and an apology.

Just to put it all in perspective Gunny, there are 6 billion people living on the earth today. If they have an average lifespan of 70 years, then that means that every single day an average of 235,000 will go to meet their maker.

Did you demand an explantion from God for the 235,000 that died the day before this event?

Actually, in that case He did. Genesis, chapter 6, verse 17 says: "And behold, I, even I am bringing the flood of water upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is on the earth shall perish." This was because of the wickedness of man, as stated in Gen. 6:5. "Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

Perhaps, but I would suggest that God honors the least of us in accordance with His word because He is not a respecter of persons and cares nothing for our standing in the world.

That still does not allow us to demand an explaination or an apology. That was pretty well explained to Job and his 'friends".

They kill that many every 2 years in the US alone in auto accidents.

In fact, more than that die every day from old age. In Russia 450,000 a year die from various kinds of accidents. In the US 145,000 a year die from lung cancer.

Personally, I'd rather check out quick than linger with illness.
