Upon arriving, the angel said to her "Rejoice, O highly favored daughter! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women".

Hmmmmmm, an Archangel of God Almighty is referring to a human as Blessed. God must think she is very important indeed! And so do I.

Luke 1 Verse 42:

"Blest are you among women and blest is the fruit of your womb. But who am I that the mother of my Lord should come to me?"

Again, another prominent bible figure regarding Mary as important, not just a "vessel". If Mary were just the girl next door, would she have been so shocked at her visit. And she referred to Mary as "Mother of the Lord" or as we Catholic call her "Mother of God" same thing.

Jesus is Lord of all and King of Kings. But Mary too is royalty. I feel so indebted to her for bringing her precious Son into the world. Jesus deserves ALL worship, and she deserves to loved and honored by all.
