Do you really think JPII is a lefty? Seems an out of character statement for you.

If JPII is a lefty, then no doubt we're in store for a few more. Just trying to prepare myself, is all.

I think sometimes we forget the excesses of right leaning Church heirarchs (which IMO led to Vatican II), and politicians, and how sometimes in such a crucible what is forged is mostly reactionary, and that doesn't seem to ever work out.

O'Malley is a pseudo-conservative lefty too. While he's reconfiguring tradition-minded parishes, places like St Anthony's continue operating under his jurisdiction "in full communion with Rome"....
