If JPII is a lefty, then no doubt we're in store for a few more. Just trying to prepare myself, is all.
I think sometimes we forget the excesses of right leaning Church heirarchs (which IMO led to Vatican II), and politicians, and how sometimes in such a crucible what is forged is mostly reactionary, and that doesn't seem to ever work out.
Yup, I do. That's not the same as saying that he's a heretic, or is leading the Church to perdition (impossible, you know...)
But his Canon Law has been criticized by very responsible people; he simply has NEVER required a Bishop to "toe the line" with only a few exceptions (on both sides of the divide...) and he promotes turkeys.
So he's a lefty. Good guy, maybe a saint...but a lefty.
