VATICAN WARNS WORLD OF 'CHRISTIANOPHOBIA'

The Vatican is pressing the United Nations to recognise "Christianophobia" as an evil equal to that of anti-Semitism or "Islamophobia".

Archbishop Giovanni Lajolo, the Vatican's foreign minister, said anti-Christian feeling had increased, exacerbated by the war on terrorism.

He said Christianity was often mistakenly seen as being inextricably linked with Western political policy, and had suffered as a result in the backlash against the West......But Vatican officials said privately that they could not stand aside while Judaism and Islam got special attention at the UN. The organisation demands regular reports from member countries on issues officially recognised as international concerns

Turning to a morally corrupt store front institution of insanity is equivalent to seeking contributions from the Saudi family to repair churches desecrated by members of Islam.

Meanwhile, on the home front, not a single 'bishop' has challenged an anti-Christian decision by the primary sponsor of Denver’s annual Parade of Lights.

This year parade organizers have decided to ban the words “Merry Christmas” from all floats; Christmas songs have also been banned. The chief sponsor of the parade is KUSA-TV, the local NBC affiliate.

There is an organized attempt all over the US to refrain from using the "C" word this year. It's Christmas without Christ everywhere, and Catholic bishops could give a twit.

Perhaps there needs to be an education of American Catholics and Christians generally to focus on the birth of Christ next December, and refrain from buying anything save for one gift for each family member. I would be willing to bet there would be a good deal of respect offered to the spirit of "Christmas" the following year.

Make 'em earn our business if not respect for our religion!!!

Likewise, Archbishop Giovanni Lajolo, would do well to learn that appeasers always gets sand kicked in their face. Hit the street, Lajolo! Do some real work for God - convert the unwashed to love God - through His Son Jesus Christ.

Disband the evil motivated ecumenical commissions and committees! Get to work filling those empty European churches!

Little wonder why the EU turned a deaf ear to pleas from the pope to put God into their pathetic Constitution.

Reverse, through the will and strength of the Holy Ghost, all that you have done to bring about the stark reality of empty pews in the House of God!!!

"If the world hates you, know that it hated me first. No servant is greater than his master. If they persecute me, they will also persecute you." - Jesus

I'm sorry, but if we're not being persecuted for what we believe, we're not really making known our beliefs. I say, bring on the Christianophobia. That means we're doing something right...

Jesus warned of Christianphobia as well.

Jhn 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

Jhn 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.

Going to the UN is going the wrong direction.

Christianophobia actually translates into fear of Christians in Greek. The more correct term would be Christianomisos. Miso means hatred as used in the word misogyny.

Not your fault. The English language mutates all the time. Phobia which used to mean fear has now mutated to mean hatred as well - as in homophobia. Homophobia was originally a word used to describe a mental condition where straight people had an irrational fear they were gay and sometimes would react with violence against gays because of this.

Then the gay movement took the word and made it their own to mean hatred of gays and discrimination against gays.

After a media blitz the term phobia has now been mutated to mean hatred.

Homosexuals have a history of doing this - gay once just meant happy.

I hope the United Nations will move in this manner, but I have deep-seeded doubts.

"Christianophobes" is such a mouthful that it will never catch on.

There is a much more pithy term in the Bible - we should just call them what they are: ANTICHRISTS!!!!

Thanks for the note. You're on the list, fellow supporter of Terri Schindler-Schiavo!!!

Who ever took over the Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation website has done a bang-up job! To be honest, it seems she's in capable hands now.

God bless you for all the work you've done to keep Terri plight before the public, Nancy!

The Vatican would do well to move it's public relations staff focused on the real time religious crisis in Europe. Seems all the creative media energy is tied up making others appear saintly.

Lol ... it's happened many times. Anyway, double, triple, quadruple posts often get more attention, especially when posted a day apart.

Shoot who are they kidding? It seems there are a few Cardinals and Bishops who are afflected with this condition, just consider the hubbub over the movie The Passion of Christ.
