“MISERABLE SERPENT” BISHOPS JOIN WITH THOSE WHO CONDEMN MEL GIBSON’S “COURAGEOUS AND BEAUTIFUL EFFORT”

Recently, at the conclusion of one of your endless series of committee meetings (The Challenge of Mixed Marriage in American Life is Major Topic of U.S. Catholic-Jewish Consultation Committee), you issued the following statement:

The Consultation also discussed the state of Jewish-Catholic relations in the wake of the film, "The Passion of the Christ," which caused such deep and understandable concern within Jewish community world-wide. The film, it was noted, was in reality a modern version of the notorious medieval Passion Plays which so often over the centuries have triggered riots against the Jews of Europe. Happily, however, the film precipitated no such anti-Jewish violence. Rather, in many places it sparked discussions in which Catholics learned why Jews feared such dramatic depictions of the death of Jesus, and Jews learned that many Catholics today have taken to heart the teaching of the Second Vatican Council that the Jews collectively cannot be held responsible "then or now" for Jesus' death. It was noted as well that continuing work needs to be done among those who have not yet absorbed these official teachings of the Church.

Generally, we in the laity read your prodigious output of wordy, useless position statements and constant “pastoral” bloviating with a mixture of boredom and mild irritation. Occasionally, however, the U.S. Bishops come out with something that is so outrageous, so offensive, so truly malignant, that the laity cannot remain mute. And so it is with this, your latest piece of ecclesiastical drivel.

When we consider your words, we must reflect upon all that you have given the laity during the past several decades; to wit:

• You have destroyed our precious liturgy and replaced it with a quasi-heretical and saccharine floor show.
• You have corrupted our children with poisonous sex ed programs.
• You have allowed our children to be raped by perverted monsters in the clergy and have done everything in your power to cover up these crimes.
• You have destroyed our beautiful churches and Cathedrals and replaced them with ugly “churches” that resemble aircraft hangars or cement factories.
• You have squandered billions of dollars on useless or harmful “ministries” that are little more than glorified havens for left wing activists.
• You have persecuted holy and orthodox priests and nuns.
• You have denied priests their right to celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass, a right which no bishop or pastor of the Church can ever take away.
• You have destroyed the faith of millions by promoting false catechesis.
• You have turned away worthy candidates for the priesthood because they accepted the perennial teachings of the Church or because they opposed homosexuality.

The collective evil committed by the American Bishops dwarfs any harm committed in the Enron scandal, yet none of you have been sent to jail.

And now, when a man like Mel Gibson comes along and tries to glorify Our Lord with a movie, when he risks his personal fortune and reputation because Our Lord is despised by the World, you miserable serpents not only do not support him, but join with those who condemn his courageous and beautiful effort. Well, to you bishops, and to all the bishops of the USCCB, the Roman Catholic Faithful responds:

The movie The Passion of the Christ has done more to uplift the human heart, to bring souls to Christ, to increase holiness, and to glorify Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, than all the USCCB committees, subcommittees, documents, pastorals, letters, faxes and speeches put together.

Nothing can be achieved by being docile today. Those in authority have perfected the art of staying in power my all manner of ruses, lies and deceptions. Traditionalists must realise that any negotiation with bishops, progressive or conservative, will always be at the expense of the Catholic faith. Much better to see the new order sink deeper and deeper into the mire, choking on its humanisms, ecumenisms and depravities.

I think that it boils down to Trads saying, "enough is enough." Many Trads have expressed respectful concern in writting to members of the hierarchy about the things listed in Bendell's letter, only to receive a false sense of assurance that great pains are being taken to correct something, getting the the classic, "I feel your pain", or sometimes left completely ignored.

For better or for worse, it sometimes takes using strong words to get others to take notice and take action if past respectful attempts have been rebuffed. You see "malice" in the letter, and I see a guy who is justifiably fed up. And I don't see anything unCatholic about expressing outrage over scandal.

Already happening and from what I can remember it began before the movie was in theaters. Earlier in the year I was at the Catholic Books store at the other end of town and the clerk was telling us how a few weeks prior about a dozen or so Baptist (yes that is right Baptist) were in the store buying rosaries and learning how to pray it properly.

By the way does anyone know who these Bishops are, and what diocese they serve. I know they are not SSPX but I do not recognize any of the names?

By this remark alone I must wonder if you have ever read the Gospels. I highly recommend them if you have not. You see Jesus uses some very harsh words toward Priests, Scribes and Pharisees, to their face no less. He called one woman a dog after refusing to even talk to her and all she was doing was asking for His help. He even called Peter "Satan", now that is what I call harsh. It is even a form of malice I dare say, but malice toward evil, sin, and pride.

Check them out they go by the titles of The Gospel According to Saint Matthew, The Gospel According to Saint Mark, The Gospel According to Saint Luke and The Gospel According to Saint John.

I do not think it is over. I have reason to suspect the 100 years began January 1933.

Rogator has it right. In fact, the best you can say of the bishops is that (with exceptions) they are an embarassment to Christ's holy Church (as demonstrated for all on EWTN in the recent meeting); at worst, some are apparently criminals.

Does this have anything to do with when they suspected communists entering the priesthood?

The communists entered well before 1933. Pius X purged the hierarchy as best he could and that was at the beginning of the 20th century.

Mark was reading the Book of Destiny a while back. I was wondering if something was in the book which led him to believe that date.

(I don't say that to mock the letter; I wholeheartedly. The wording just breaks me up!!!)

My mother would have said that was when Roosevelt took office and this country started a steep downhill decline. I don't know if that is when he took office but my mother blamed him for everything bad that has happened since.

Early January 1933 a group of reactionaries, bankers, junkers etc persuaded Pres. Von Heidelberg to name Hitler Chancellor of Germany.

It is my theory the devil can win the battle (or should I say he thinks he can win) by destroying one of two groups. I believe both will play a critical part in the final battle. The two groups are the Jews (the real ones not the JINO's), the other is of course the Catholic Church (the real ones not the CINO's)

I think nothing makes him happier than those two beating up on each other. Now don't get me wrong I believe the Jews need to convert but I do not believe that will happen until it is time.

Hitler tried and failed to knock off the Jews and failed. He has been undermining their faith just as he is doing in the Catholic faith. He will try again and this time he will try to kill off the Catholics as well, he will have help from within the Church I fear.

There is more to this but I need to work on the theory. I will let you know.

By the way it is other reasons why I came up with this date. I think 1 January 2033 will be a day that will be very memorable in the future. I went back from this date to find the beginning of Pope Leo XIII's vision. It turns out January 1933 fits very well with my opinion about events.
