I guess I should clarify a bit. Catholics services are so strange,, ritualistic, and empty of the Holy Spirit that practicing Catholic is an oxymoron (with the notable exception of parents of children ages 0-13). Then, upset at the secular morals of their (non-practicing) congregations, Catholics then have the arrogance to judge them, demand that they change their positions, and that as a means to further that demand they claim that they and not Jesus Christ have the power to grant or withold salvation.
And for any Catholics on this board, I'm not interested in abstruse quotations from Catholic dogma explaining why I'm wrong. I guarantee you that the legions of non-practicing Catholics and the sunday Catholics don't care anymore than I do.
You are a nut. You are one of the most ignorant anti-catholic "jack-chick" types I have ever run into on this forum. You obviously know nothing about the Roman Catholic Church and seem quite happy to waltz around whistling your foolishness.
Defenders Ping, back-up needed.
Your disdain for Catholic worship is noted.
Now could we return to discussing how to deal with the pro-abortionists among us?
UMM, Have YOU ever been to a Catholic church, or to you base your invective on hearsay?
I'm wondering where you are getting your information here?
Catechism of the Catholic Church and what it says about those who support abortion
OK -please explain specifically what the 'display' of Holy Spirit is that you recognize; additionally, do you suggest the Holy Spirit limited in some way so as to 'avoid' bestowing charisms to those 'unworthy' or perhaps charisms are only bestowed upon those asking in the 'right' manner -better yet, do you suggest one must possess a knowledge to receive charisms?
