If you aren't Catholic (or close to one, ie Orthodox, etc), you follow a man (or woman) made religion. Instead of hearing the voice of Christ in these Churches, you hear the voice of:

I have been following these religious discussions for the past several months. One of the first things I noticed was that different groups always claim victim status here. The problem is, while that group is upset and hitting abuse buttons, and saying they are being persecuted, they are doing exactly the same thing to another group that they don't agree with.

Having spent many years as a Baptist, I was always disgusted by the way they bashed the Catholic Church. After being on the religious side of FR for a few months now, I see it works both ways. Too bad there is little if no Christian love around here. Protestants may differ, but they certainly are lovers of God and the scriptures just as Catholics are.

You are apparently too naive to understand. We can't have too much Christian love and kindness around here on the FR Religion forum. That's ecumenical, and it's a bad thing.

You're also just too nice. Try being a little meaner once in a while, then maybe you'll be a better Christian, and you'll be able to tell others why they are heretics.
