Jumping jeebers on a pogo stick . . .

Sadly, I think the Catholic Church may be on its last legs. Between covering up for the homosexual priests coming in at the back door and now the homosexuals streaming in at the front door, We don't have very much credibility left. What was once a rock is now a pebble. What's next? Does the next Pope come out and say abortion is a.o.k.? Do American Archbishops sign on to do 'wrap the rascal' TV ad campaigns?

I admit that some of the pomp and circumstance of the Catholic church seemed like the nuclear detonation sequence ritual from 'Beneath the Planet of the Apes' but my faith is not wavered by what I don't understand. That's why it's called faith in the first place. Faith is taking a step into the great unknown while believing that you will be safe. I was born a Catholic and I have always been a Catholic. Even when I was 'away from the church' I always had a moral compass whose source was Christ. At some point, I could no longer resist the magnetic pull of Christ and I surrendered myself to God. That being said, I am not always a perfect Christian. I sometimes act in ways that are contrary to Christ's doctrine, but I also know that He is love and forgiveness. True contriction begins in the heart.

I am a Catholic because I believe in Christ. I believed that he was born, died, and was raised from the dead. I believe that Christ is the son of God and that Mary, his mother, came of virgin birth. Why do homosexuals want to be accepted into the Church? Do they believe its dogma? No, because they ceaselessly try to change it. Are they willing to submit to God? No, because they fight God's laws. So why is it that they want to join? They seek to pervert its very heart. Make it twist in the wind like every other institution. Some may want to join out of belief but, most are spiritual cyanide. As I would not welcome a burglar through my front door, I will not welcome these thieves.

I think that we should be sad for these homosexuals at best. They are so uncomfortable with their so called genetic destiny, they need others approval. They can not just accept themselves, they need some kind of pat on the back. We stand firm as sad as they are. Jesus said: Peter, Thou art a rock and upon this rock I shall build my Church. They are trying to inflict situational ethics onto God's law. If we give in, who is the bigger sinner?

Leviticus 18:22... "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."

Leviticus 20:13... "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

No biblical indication of any such penalties being handed down...in the human realm, anyway.
