Note to the Traditional Anglican ping list: Starting tomorrow, I will not be around much for a week. I will be sending newheart a copy of the list in case somebody sees something that might be of interest to you all.

When I think of the Orthodox Church, I think of the Greek Orthodox Church - is that what he is referring to?

This is a wonderful article. As one whose family has been Orthodox for about 1800 years, I certainly agree with him, but then I would, wouldn't I?

We have a couple of former Episcopalian families in our parish, a Greek Orthodox parish which now is less than 50% Greek and is probably 90% American born. Our Liturgy is mostly in English and both priests are American born, one a convert from Roman Catholicism.

I have been reading the various threads on the troubles in the Episcopal Church and am saddened by them, but I guess I have to ask and wonder why more Episcopalians haven't come over to Orthodoxy. Our former Episcopalian parishioners wonder the same thing.

Thank you very much for posting this, sionnsar. It is very helpful to me.

I have promised to stay with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America until the "gay votes" next August. (This is mainly to help other orthodox/conservative Lutherans.) After that, I must decide whether to become Orthodox. I ask God every day to show me which way I should go.

Grace and peace!

"Why should an Episcopalian become 'Orthodox'..."....I don't have the slightest idea nor am I interested. Although I certainly can understand why someone might want to leave the Apostate Episcopal Church.
