Your either/or

is a straw dog thoroughly out of touch with Scriptures related to the issues as well as thoroughly out of touch with the historical facts.

God had His own purposes in constructing the Canon as He did. There's no evidence He's changed those parameters or reopened the Canon for additions. There's certainly no need of it.

You are the ones insisting that God has to do things either/or according to your constructions on reality.

He clearly disagrees, as does Scripture.

Speaking of evidence, there is none indicating any ongoing "prophets" in the Church. The so-called "prophets" of today has a less that biblical (100%) accuracy rate. Either that or they are so generic that they are useless from a practical standpoint.

You can't have it both ways. You can't say "tradition" has closed the Canon while arguing against the "tradition" that says prophets are no more.
