I would (no surpise), and lots of non-futurists would argue that modern-day Israel is a fulfillment of any specific biblical prophecy.

It takes more work that just pointing a text yanked from the Bible and then pointing at modern Israel to convince many Christians that B fulfills A.

Saying it is so does not make it so.

Sorry, but I'm not sure if you're agreeing or disagreeing with me. Just to be clear, my point was that modern day Israel is NOT the fulfillment of the prophecy from Zephaniah that the article stated. (is your first sentence missing a "not"?)

The "vision" was most likely penned within the last century. At this point that is all I have to deal with.

Since you're all excited about this "vision", perhaps you just failed to realize there there was no "reference book" where this "vision" was cited. It came from "various internet sources". So as far as "scholars" and "integrity" is concerned, none were offered.

So far it has all earmarks of an urban legend.

You need to do more homework. Perhaps you can find an original source. I have not been able to.

In a few short sentences you exposed why you lack any semblance of logic or reality. You continually blast anyone who disagrees with you, accusing them of lacking those qualities, when anyone who actually uses discernment can see that you will accept anything uncontested as long as it agrees with your preconceived notions. Oh, so now that you've actually decided to check what the source is we should just forget that you jumped to a unjustified belief that matched your cosmology.

The mere fact that you will readily accept any claims prior to justifying those claims is an indication that your cosmological interpretive grid will always override any evidence proffered against it and the result is an overly aggressive behavior towards those who provide said evidence.

It rings true to me both from the historicity of it's writing to it's modern relevancy as well as it's Biblical congruence.

I pinged you because you and crew mercilessly demanded of me any reasonable, valid evidence for my contention that Holy Spirit could still speak [post last John writing the last word of Revelation]--that Holy Spirit could still speak to Christians in our era through any Dream, Vision or otherwise.
