Technically, split infinitives are correct...

Pride is a sin, but even St. Paul states that his "boast" is in Christ his Lord.

There is no sin in being "proud" of Jesus Christ and what He has done for us, just like there is no sin in worshipping Jesus Christ.

However, pride in ourselves would be sinful just as worshipping ourselves would be sinful.

I agree, but somehow "to go boldly where no man has gone before" just doesn't have the same ZING to it.
