I know of nothing to substantiate that, no. There's another interesting tidbit I came across during Shavuot while reading Ruth. This is not in scripture, but there is tradition that, as Ruth and her sister, Orpah, chose different paths. The tradition is that Ruth went with Naomi and became grandmother to King David, while Orpah went back to her people, the Moabites, and became grandmother to Goliath. Their grandchildren would one day meet on the battlefield.
You may have heard that, and again, it's just legend IMO, until I see more corroborating facts, but still I thought it was kind of a cool story.
I hadn't heard that, but it is interesting. Their descendants just may meet on the battle field again, or perhaps they are already. ;)
