The passages can be interpreted this way, I suppose, but they can also be interpreted as the solidification of thought forms into a vessel that fits the creature paradigm of Earth.
Matter of fact, they can be interpreted to mean just about any story you want, with enough assumptions. I'm not saying that interpretation is necessarily wrong, but it's an extraordinary one unsupported by the plain text and needs extraordinary proof other than extraordinary interpretations of other passages.

In the manuscripts it is not preceded by the definite article 'eth and so it does not refer to a specific person, i.e. the word adam means human being or mankind, and no gender is implied If you have a Companion Bible it will document it for you.
this is why you must check out the languages becuase words can be used in passages that have completely diffrent meanings.
