"Why do Catholics not include, "For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, now and forever," at the end of the Our Father like the Protestants?"

Has this person not been to Mass in the last 40 years?

For any Protestants reading, since the new order of Mass was promulgated after Vatican II (1970?) the doxology has been said at the Mass, but usually not at other times.

When I go to daily Mass at NO, I do not say the doxology, and neither does the Priest. It is left up to the faithful to conclude the prayer with that phrase.

When I was in grade school, and we still said the Lord's Prayer before the day started, the Catholic kids would sit down before the Protestants could say the doxology. It was just a way to disrupt them. Then we would have to say we were sorry and wouldn't do it agan. (until the next time)
