I would like to ask for prayers for my father. He has a very unsual condition. He had heart surgery two years ago and was released from the hospital with nearly 20 lbs. of fluid retention. This ultimately developed into pnenmomia and the ensuing coughing was violent enough that he tore the wires that had been used to wire his sternum after the surgery. I guess this is extremely rare. He is very uncomfortable now and he has something akin to spasms in his chest from this condition. He went back to his surgeon and was told they could re-operate but they'd have to saw off each side of the sternum (to make them fit again) and then use muscle obtained from his abdomen to facilitate in the tissue/growth healing. It is pretty complicated and hard to explain and downright weird. But...they said the surgery is at least as dangerous as the first and that they could not guarantee it wouldn't rip open again. Meanwhile he is desperately miserable and does not know what to do. He is 75 and his name is John. If any of you have heard anything similar to this, I'd appreciate any information and of course, your prayers. He is also undergoing radiation treatment for prostrate cancer. When he gets the hot flashes from the prostate shot treatment it makes his breathing difficult and this is when he usually gets the worst chest spasms. Thanks and blessings to all.
Prayer ping.

I so appreciate it!
Merciful Father, I humbly beseech you to close the suffering John is now confronting. Embrace him in Your Love my Savior. Bless our brother John with your healing grace. Let his remaining time in this temporal existence be a peaceful and contrite until that time You bring him home. I pray you will give John's family a clear understanding of your loving will, and make this a time of redemptive cleansing for each of them. Through the Most Sacred Heart of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I make this prayerful plea to You dear Father.
Prayers sent.
Prayers going out to your father. Keep the faith and Keep us updated on your father's condition.
Prayers for your father and for you.
I have heard of something similar. A niece had the open heart surgery when she was a baby. Periodically, as she grew, they had to go back in and open up the wiring and do it over again--four or five times.
She is now a married young lady with a beautiful baby boy.
I don't think it can be done as easily in an elderly mand. Still, it would be worth a try, because if it works, your Dad could have as many as ten good years ahead of him.
I will pray for him.
Prayers...
PRAYERS TO YOU,
GODSPEED!
Prayers on the way!
I'm praying for you and your father. Praying for his complete healing.
I had the operation. I could feel my rib cages or something moving for a long time. I still have to watch how much I lift. I have no pain from it though. I beleive hope and pray that his will grow back tgether. Mine did. I had mine in 1997.
God bless and keep you John.
