EPISTLERomans 6: 19-23Brethren: I speak a human thing, because of the infirmity of your flesh; for as you have yielded your members to serve uncleanness and iniquity unto iniquity, so now yield your members to serve justice unto sanctification. For when you were the servants of sin, you were free from justice. What fruit therefore had you then in those things, of which you are now ashamed? For the end of them is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end life everlasting. For the wages of sin is death. But the grace of God is life everlasting; in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
GOSPELMatthew 7: 15-21At that time, Jesus said to His disciples: Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. By their fruits you shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, and the evil tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can an evil tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit shall be cut down, and shall be cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them. Not every one that saith to Me: Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father who is in heaven, he shall enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Sunday Mass ping.
Let's keep Siobhan in our prayers.
Thank-you for the post.

"Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, and the evil tree bringeth forth evil fruit."
Judging by the rotten fruit, Vatican 2 ought to be cut down and cast into the fire - along with all the post-conciliar perverts that now crowd the sacred college of cardinals - and most of our chanceries too.
thanks for posting
Bitter, bitter, bitter.
I only point out the trash in the Church, so we can clean up the litter, litter, litter.
The disordered Cardinals are a scandal Deacon, a PUBLIC scandal. Try the one in Germany who is hosting a conference where speakers are almost all heterodox. That Cardinal publicly oppose Rome on abortion.
You never hesitate to defend the heterodox, do you? Bitter, bitter, bitter.
Phil trashed Vatican II, narses.
Is Vatican II heterodox?
There were lots of "fruits" ordained pre-Vatican II that caused plenty of havoc, post Vatican II.
I respectfully submit that hiding the problems and hoping that our bishops will sort them out (as you seem to suggest) is not the solution. It may sound cynical but modern-day bishops only appear to react when their slight of hand is exposed in the press. Please don't stand in the way of a clean-up - especially when your dogs need you.
"Aberrations do not define the fruits of Vatican II."
If widespread loss of Faith, rank indifferentism, sick perversions of the Mass and sodomite scandals like never before, don't qualify as "aberrations", what does?
Have you been over the the thread about Wickens? Sounds like you guys have some problems of your own vis-a-vis the sedes.
Viva's accusing the SSPX of stealing chapels from independent sede priests.
Aberrations are anomalies, Phil. The vast majority of those who attend Mass in the Latin Rite are not involved in any of them.
"There were lots of "fruits" ordained pre-Vatican II that caused plenty of havoc, post Vatican II."
No kidding Deacon, and they seized on V2 and in the Spirit of V2 have wreaked havoc. The FRUITS are the FRUITS of V2, the damage done was done by the FRUITS. Them ain't aberrations Deacon, them are the norm.
"The vast majority of those who attend Mass ..."
Them are a MINORITY of the Catholics Deacon. Between 75 and 80% do NOT attend. That is the FRUIT of letting sodomites run the Church.
You can't have it both ways, narses. Vatican II is responsible for the "fruits" ordained before Vatican II?
I don't think so.
Out of deference to AAABEST, I think this conversation needs to go to another thread. He didn't put this Gospel up for this purpose.
