Celibacy is scriptural. The author's knowledge of Scripture is depressing. The scripture dealing with marraige and church leadership is found in 1 Tim 3, (repeated in Titus) where an elder (church leader) is required to be the husband of one wife. But, since scripture doesn't matter, let them continue in their error.

That's as opposed to being the husband of many wives, not as opposed to being celibate. It's not a requirement to be married.

St. Paul's instruction to Timothy was not absolute in that only married men be selected. After all, you conveniently omitted, St. Paul himself was celibate and wrote in Scripture, which you also omitted, that celibacy was the preferred state.
