A rather lenghty but interesting article on a topic on another thread. Pinging the elect.

Today, more than on some other days, I needed to read this.
'In the life of the most perfect Christian there is every day renewed occasion for self-abhorrence, for repentance, for renewed application to the blood of Christ, for application of the rekindling of the Holy Spirit'.
Thank you for posting this.

A great post my Elect Brother.
Interestingly, John Piper writes about Christian Hedonism as a desirable trait.
He writes: "Christian Hedonism is not a contradiction after all. It is desiring the vast, ocean-deep pleasures of God more than the mud-puddle pleasures of wealth, power or lust. We're Christian Hedonists because we believe Psalm 16:11, "You show me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy, in Your right hand are pleasures for evermore."

Thanks for pinging me to this. It's maybe the best on the subject I've read. Too many Reformed types slam the doctrine uncharitably, and don't erect much positive in its place. Reisinger is charitable, truthful, appropriately destructive, and appropriately contructive.
