Folks, it now appears bogdanPolska12's tale was a complete fraud and fabrication.

I fear I jumped the gun on it. I am so sorry and feel pretty foolish on the whole situation. I thought that prayers would be appropriate and posted it on the Religion Forum for that reason. FReeper prayers are very powerful.

netmilsmom,

Please don't think you did the wrong thing. Part of being a fool for Christ is willing to be fooled yet still willing to do the very same thing the next time such a situation presents itself; next time it will probably be true and the person WILL need the thousands of prayers offered here on this thread.

God knew exactly what to do with the prayers offered here. He will use them to supply the Grace necessary to reach out the next time we see one of His children in need, as well as the Grace necessary to not respond to this current scam by becoming cynical and unwilling to get involved next time for fear of being taken for a fool.

I was also taken in by "bogdanpolska", and offered a prayer. Actually, he's much worse off than if he had lost his wife.

Everyone, sooner or later, loses his wife or her husband. To engage in outright deceit and lies, for the purpose of humiliating others, is much more of a personal loss. It means he's lost his honesty and his truthfulness, and sincerity in relating to others. If he can do this on FR, he undoubtedly is insincere and untruthful in other areas of his life.

So actually we should now pray for him that he can have a change of heart and straighten out his life, which must be in the shambles of lies and double-dealing.

I agree, I prayed for the souls of the Faithful Departed yesterday, prayers of any kind are not wasted. Besides, how are we to know that just those kinds of prayers were most needed at that point in time?

I think, it was a reflection of the good prayer warriors here on FR that so many extra prayers went up yesterday.
