Merciful Father,

How do we apprehend this news, Father? We have only just recently became acquainted with Magda through our new friend Bogdan. We have heard of the beautiful love these two have shared. We have learned of the deep love of freedom these two have lived. We have learned of the deep sacrifice for the defense of freedom that these two made by having Bogdan join the Air Force. Father, our hearts cry out in pain for this pair who have now been separated by the veils of death.

We ask you Father, to take Magda and her friend to a very special place in your heaven. Send legions of comfort angels to Bogdan and all the family and friends of the two who were called Home. Send to them our beloved Savior. We ask that these who are grieving will be granted healing and peace. Grant them joy despite the tremendous loss. Guide them through their mourning process. Enfold them with your mercy and grant that in the fullness of time these are able to emerge from their mourning with their faith intact.

Father, as we have prayed before, we ask that you will administer perfect justice in this situation. Assure Bogdan and those remaining behind that the soul who caused such harm will be chastened perfectly according to your own Will and by thine own hand. Let those who mourn be freed of the burdens of resentment and unforgiveness and all other darkness which such an incident can bring with it in its vortex. Grant them the certitude that your Justice SHALL hold sway in the fullness of your own time.

Father, we have such difficulty understanding why you do the things you do sometimes. Enlighten us and purify us so that we may come closer to understanding. Take our pain and our tears, and let them be as cleansing drops of rain. Let that rain fall on the world and transform it into something closer to the Vision you have for it. Help us all in this earth learn to appreciate and find joy in the daily blessings you bestow. Help us find the joy hidden in the unexpected places. Help us to find the touch of your gentle hand in the unexpected moment when we need it most.

Father, bless, guide, protect, comfort, and enfold our friend Bogdan. Let our prayers for him and those mourning the death of these two women be multiplied so that all who have similar need may be similarly blessed. Let all our prayers be adjusted according to thy Will, for we desire not to pray amiss.
