I say Apostate.

As a member of the Roman Catholic Church, Kerry is obligated to attend mass at a Church in concordance with the Holy See to fulfill his Sunday obligation to 'keep holy the Sabbath Day.' I believe that Russian and Greek Orthodox Churches may fall under this umbrella, being Eastern rather than Latin Rite. Nonetheless, an AME Church fails to qualify.

He did not receive the Eucharist. He did not fulfill his obligation to attend mass. Indeed, he defected to gain political favor. By Church Law, he is therefore no longer a 'practical Catholic,' if indeed he ever was.

And yet, in a way, this is more honest than him going to a Catholic Church. I should imagine he finds the looser stance on abortion and the leftist political philosophy of the AME church to be far closer to his own.

Ironic too, that he condemns the Pope for his condemnation of his political stances; and receives kudos from this minister, for his political stances.

Go figure.

Kerry, take your wife and go. Take the Kennedys with you. We, the Orthodox Catholic Laity, grow tired of you.

That's correct. The two branches of Catholicism (Eastern and Western) recognize each other's sacraments. That's why, for example, a marriage performed in an Eastern Orthodox Church is fully valid in the eyes of the Roman Catholic Church.
