Bible Believers don't work for salvation, but the RCC demands that you DO work as a PART in your salvation, so, I am wondering why you even said that to me!
You exemplify the quote, "it isn't Catholics that people hate, it is what they don't know about Catholics that they hate", or in your case what you think you know.
It states very clearly that what a person does (or doesn't do) are an important part of faith.
It would behoove you to study all of Scripture, starting with those passages presented below and to cease and desist in misstating the teachings of the Catholic Church. Also, please provide the actual paragraph number from the Catechism that supports your false claim. Hint: the following is what the Catechism actually states:
1727 The beatitude of eternal life is a gratuitous gift of God. It is supernatural, as is the grace that leads us there.
"Wherefore, my dearly beloved, (as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only but much more now in my absence) with fear and trembling work out your salvation. For it is God who worketh in you, both to will and to accomplish, according to his good will." Philipians 2:12-13
"And let him that is instructed in the word communicate to him that instructeth him, in all good things. Be not deceived: God is not mocked. For what things a man shall sow, those also shall he reap. For he that soweth in his flesh of the flesh also shall reap corruption. But he that soweth in the spirit of the spirit shall reap life everlasting. And in doing good, let us not fail. For in due time we shall reap, not failing. Therefore, whilst we have time, let us work good to all men, but especially to those who are of the household of the faith." Galatians 6:6-10
"So faith also, if it have not works, is dead in itself." James 2:17
Who will render to every man according to his works. To them indeed who, according to patience in good work, seek glory and honour and incorruption, eternal life: But to them that are contentious and who obey not the truth but give credit to iniquity, wrath and indignation." Romans 2:6-8.
Most importantly, for you and your venom repeatedly directed towards Catholics and the Catholic Church on this forum and elsewhere, walk very cautiously on your journey:
"Wherefore, he that thinketh himself to stand, let him take heed lest he fall." 1 Corinthians 10:11-12
May God's grace come upon you and enlighten you and your heart to the truth and may your bigotry and ignorance no longer adversely affect your actions, both inward and outward, as well as your thoughts.
Dominus vobiscum.
