Just returned from a wonderful dinner with my wife at our favorite Italian place. (Veal Saltimboca with a fairly decent Pinot Noir)

Mack, thanks honestly, but we are going to have to agree to disagree.
You can only pull someone out of the fire when you have the real fire saving tools else you run the risk of falling in yourself.
With Jesus Christ as my Saviour and salvation, I don't even get singed as long as I walk the path He has laid out and with the grace of God, I will stay on that path.

"Drunk again? :)" Nah, "drunk" is polishing off a bottle of Tequila -not splitting a bottle of wine with my wife over a two hour meal.

Reminds me of some of the words preached to us when Catholic Missionaries came around to the Catholic Churches every few years. Those days are far gone and so has spirituality.
Their words surelly got more souls into heaven then the kissy homilies do today!
We made sure we went to confession and was in the state of grace. Today, I just wonder as most communicants go without confession years at a time.
What the laity needs today is a good fire and brimstone homily to get the attention of the parishoners.
Faether Corappi would be just fine!
